Recently, Honor returned to the Indian market. The new Honor 90 smartphone model was announced when it returned to the area (see our evaluation here). However, it seems that the corporation is trying to increase its production in the nation in addition to just releasing new phones.
Honor brings smartphone production in Q1 2024
The CEO of Honor India, Madhav Sheth, discussed the firm’s marketing plan for the regional market in an interview with the Economic Times. He also said that the business is presently debating whether to hire indigenous contract manufacturers to start making its smartphones in India. It appears that it is now in discussions with three such firms.
The senior official went on to say that the company intended to begin producing these Honor phones in the nation by the first quarter of 2019. Additionally, according to Madhav Sheth, Honor has already committed 400 crore INR to establishing operations and distribution in India. The Honor 90 is now in the lead for a new batch of smartphones bearing the Honor name. Consequently, more models are scheduled to debut in the area.
The business expects to sell more than 50,000 copies of the Honor 90 during the next holiday season through both physical and online channels. It is further anticipated that throughout this season, revenues would total 50 crore INR. The brand’s participation in Make in India is confirmed by the local smartphone manufacture.
