According to a banner that is now making the rounds on the Weibo microblogging service in China, Honor will introduce the Honor Play 8T smartphone tomorrow, October 18, in China. As can be seen, the poster has verified the device’s main features and design.
Honor Play 8T key specifications
The Honor Play 8T’s launch date poster indicates that it sports a 6,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel dual-camera system, and a punch-hole display with up to 850 nits of brightness. It is confirmed that the smartphone would come with 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM.
Recall that last year’s Honor Play 7T and Honor Play 40 Plus smartphones had essentially the same features but had different back designs. Therefore, it looks that the Play 8T may have taken design cues from the Honor Play 50 Plus, which was unveiled in China earlier this month.
The Play 8T might come equipped with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD 90Hz FHD+ screen, a side-facing fingerprint reader, a Dimensity 6020 CPU, an 8-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera configuration, and a 6,000mAh battery with 35W fast charging.
In similar developments, the TENAA certification platform in China’s database revealed the presence of an Honor phone with the model number LLY-AN00. The smartphone may include a 6.7-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 90Hz display, a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 35W fast charging, according to the TENAA certification. It could have a side-facing fingerprint scanner, a 108-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system, and an 8-megapixel front camera. There is no information available at this time on the Honor LLY-AN00’s ultimate marketing name.
